For the first time at Mesa Community College, the Music Business Program will host an Industry Panel as part of the A.A.S. Curriculum. This round table discussion will focus on current issues in the music industry and how dramatic changes in the music industry have challenged entertainment companies to continue to evolve. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 8 at MCC's Southern and Dobson Campus.

The panel is free and open to the public and will address the needs of artists, managers and producers at all stages in their careers. Moderating the panel will be Matthew Wenzlau, Music Business Faculty and Attorney. Attendees will benefit from the experience and insights of panel speakers and industry veterans; Mark Rodriguez of MDR Entertainment, LLC, and Robb Vallier. Discussions will offer a realistic view of current industry issues and will provide tools to tackle today's rapidly evolving music industry.

The Music Business program at Mesa Community College offers an innovative curriculum designed to prepare highly qualified individuals for careers in today’s music industry. The program offers an A.A.S. degree or certificate for both the performing artist, as well as the business student with limited performing experience.

When: 11 a.m.- noon, Wednesday, April 8.

Where:  MCC's Southern and Dobson Campus, Building SC14, Lecture Hall SC11E.
